New Shopping Plaza Development Marks Milestone in Fayetteville’s Growth
Fayetteville, Georgia, continues to experience rapid growth, with the grand opening of a new shopping plaza set to take place on Friday morning. Developed by Felicia and Winchel Elibert, this project is a significant milestone as they are the first Black couple to purchase land and successfully develop a shopping plaza in Fayetteville.
This fully leased plaza features a variety of businesses, including Frida’s Bar and Grill, Southern Fire Kitchen, Salada, Tanzar Nail Bar, Dough Boy Pizza, Smoothie King, and Cleansing Waters Wellness. The range of tenants offers a well-rounded mix of dining and wellness options, making the plaza a vibrant addition to the city’s landscape.
Fayetteville’s development has been accelerating in recent years, largely driven by key projects like the Town of Trilith, a mixed-use development known for its ties to the film industry. Trilith has brought a creative, upscale environment to the area, attracting residents, businesses, and entertainment professionals alike. The Eliberts’ shopping plaza, located within close proximity to Trilith, will contribute to the city's expanding retail and service offerings, enhancing its appeal as a growing metro destination.
With this development, the Eliberts not only bring new business opportunities to the area but also serve as pioneers in Fayetteville’s real estate landscape. Their project underscores the city’s growing diversity and its commitment to fostering community-oriented spaces.
As Fayetteville continues to evolve into a thriving economic and cultural hub, projects like this plaza will play a vital role in shaping the city’s future. The Eliberts’ achievement stands as both a symbol of progress and an inspiration for future developers in the region.
